Wedding preparations are exciting, but at the same time, it can be stressful for the bride, groom, and other family members involved. It’s not uncommon to make mistakes with so much already in mind. However, some mistakes can be excruciating at worst, leaving us with red faces. This week, a bride caught a lot of attention on TikTok when she unveiled her wedding invitation, which included links to the couple’s website. You might be wondering what’s unusual about it. Well, the URL included in the wedding invitations is for an adult movie site.
Yes, you read that right! It was a goof caused by distraction, and she ended up directing her guests to the X-rated platform, instead of her official wedding website. According to the New York Post, the bride, digitally known as Squidward, confessed to making a huge mistake. The post gained nearly 200,000 views, which also included leading the wedding party to a Super 8 motel where all rooms were booked.
“The Super 8 motel was used as a temporary measure until we decided which hotels to block, but I failed to mention that,” the bride admitted. “I assure our visitors that I have not reserved any rooms at the Super 8 Motel.”
Although the hotel’s mistake didn’t get much attention, the incident sparked some intriguing conversation. Her elegant “Reception” information cards included a link to the sassy website, which read, “For more wedding details, please visit our website…”
According to the woman’s claims, she neglected to remove the “fun website” before they went to print and initially used it as a substitute until they got the right URL for their ceremony. She went on to apologize to her mother and other family and friends for making the invitations embarrassing.
