IndyHumane Mutt Strut 2021 ready for Victory Field in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – Indy’s pets and their humans are invited to an all-day celebration on Saturday, October 23 at Victory Field.

Mutt Strut, IndyHumane’s biggest fundraising event, returns this year with a 2km downtown walk, shows, vendors, food trucks, a pet costume contest and more. Again.

Registrations are open for individuals and teams. Individual registration is $ 40 per adult (16 years old and over) and $ 30 for children aged 3 to 15. Children 2 and under are free.

All well-behaved pets are welcome: dogs, cats, turtles, pigs or whatever you have. Pets do not need to be registered and humans are welcome without pets.

Same day registrations start at 8:30 am. The opening ceremonies begin at 9.45 a.m. and a parade of adoptable dogs is scheduled for 10:10 a.m.

The walk starts around 10:30 am. The route is approximately 2 km through downtown Indianapolis, starting and ending at Victory Field.

Hang around the stadium afterwards for activities and vendors, and maybe to make some new friends, canine or human.

In addition to music, vendors, and food trucks, entertainment includes waders, cartoonists, and photo booths.

The Pet Costume Contest starts at noon. The four winning categories will be: Cutest, Most Creative, Pet Owners & Lookalikes, and Funniest Costume.

The event takes place rain or shine.
