Sensuality, sex and cinema. From Bergman to Basic Instinct and beyond!

A look back at style and seduction in cinema, with a little help from the lovely Lucie Hélène.

I’ve said it before and will do it again: the moral DNA of transatlantic aesthetics and morals is being rewritten. Exciting, heartwarming and inspiring freedoms abound now. How wonderful that generations grow up, unafraid to express their sexuality, gender, and all aspects of identity that they can explore and define, in their own way.

But there is a gain, it seems? A tide of shameful double standards, even? On the one hand, we are nominally more “free” and yet a Puritan narrative has entered the media and politics.

The current mayor of London has banned bikini models from tube stations while THE ISLAND OF LOVE remains the hot topic reality show on UK television. Men everywhere are afraid to flirt.

Playboy seems anything but forbidden or at least avoided, despite an army of “boy mags” that were much more self-explanatory and villainous having held power for over a decade and were only recently banned from the shelves. There is a war on obesity and talks about sugar taxes, yet Victoria’s Secret and other brands are actively deploying “fuller” number imagery as a marketing ploy.

Daytime TV shows featured an open discussion about S n M, nominally in response to the Fifty shades postman? Extreme, hardcore porn is just a click away, with minimal controls in place to prevent such evils, despite government promises of more draconian regulations.

Things got so bad in the UK, that ‘skirt up’ came into law as its own term, rather than the enforcement of existing nuisance laws.

People live in fear on public transport of being filmed or, equally bad, of seeing someone watching porn on their phone. However, on the contrary? Still perfectly acceptable for quite mainstream and nominally family publications to incorporate sexual odyssey stories, right down to the choice of vibrator.

But all is not bad or pessimistic. The same freedoms that allowed for darker division and moral polarities can still be used to rediscover old-fashioned, erotic yet civilized beauty. And movies, old and new, can be a big help.

This is where I bring a Only fans star at the table here. This site has really taken off lately and is it, at first glance, the safest face in adult entertainment, especially in lockdowns?

I actually discovered the site when a troll started tagging this blog with #onlyfans. You alerted me to a cultural phenomenon. And gave me an idea for an article. Thank you! (However nb: please stop identity theft and stalking; these are criminal offenses).

Back to the topic: yes, there is some hardcore material on the Only fans to place. But I feel relatively satisfied that this is regulated and that women are in control rather than acting under duress or drug abuse.

I am assured by the required checks. You can’t connect with artists (famous or not) without an account, identity verification, and access to some sort of credit or debit card. Even the use of words like “meet up” is banned and filtered, immediately! I guess it’s something.

Above all? Beauty can be found there, where the star posting the content simply reflects that old-fashioned Hollywood glam and shine that sadly seems AWOL in the world lately. A breath of fresh air, even?

And in my search for the holy grail of balance, I enlisted a Only fans star, the divine LUCIE HELENE. Thought Bergman/Bogart period film, via Red shoe logs sensuality of the cable channel’s ambitious lifestyle.

You can hear the clinking of ice in his glass; smell the summer sun or fall leaves; drive this sports car / boat and enjoy the fine wines, hotels and clothes.

Yeah, there are nudes and more racy stuff in there. But overall, Lucie’s page is a celebration of the more subtle erotica and its innate connection to a desire for simulated escape into an otherwise inaccessible world. Edgy on occasion and even primal in instincts engaged but always sure and classy.

Lucie herself is pure cinema. There is something very theatrical but natural and accessible about her; ethereal elegance meets earthly reality. Each photo album has a cinematic flavor.

Charlotte Rampling (Lucie models in a similar pose?).

Liz Hurley! Jacqueline Bisset! Lena Oline! Diane Lane! Ms. Helene can sort of recreate all of these titans and more in one fell swoop. All in a lovely spot and that garter belt ping / heel and top bottom preview as much as any nude reveal.

Bergman at his finest, pictured here; a favorite of Lucie!

It is no coincidence that Lucie’s page has a cinematographic aura. She is a big fan of cinema! UPPER GUN and SOUND OF MUSIC are particular favorites. Guys: if you want to impress this lady then you will have to be a magical cross between Jason Statham, Jimmy Stewart and Gregory Peck (impossible, so don’t try, but she loves all these actors).

Statham is attractive because of his toughness, humor and accent . The lady loves good action movies, it seems (the ultimate male fantasy, then?). As for the filmed sex, Lucie quotes PRIMARY INSTINCT like a revolutionary classic.

Sharon Stone is strong and sexy and responsible‘. But as Lucie points out, female sexuality in cinema is a wide range of inspiring possibilities. ‘Ingrid Bergman and Ava Gardner are always amazing and remarkable; Michelle Pfeiffer also has an exquisite beauty and remains very adaptable as an actress.

Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet are also Lucie’s favorites when looking for great performances in the cinema. Madonna is a heroine: “theatrical, pioneering, liberating: she reinvented pop, concerts and videos, paving the way for so many women afterwards”.

Like her film idols, Lucie is the one who controls her professional destiny and her brand. Hers is a celebration of beauty, in which nudity is only one dimension and Only fans the starting platform. It’s about art and nature, so it’s likely that her favorite causes are conservation charities.

The lady likes to stay in shape, naturally. So, even though she loves fruit juices, they have to be natural and sugar-free! The preferred colors are blue and green. And while Lucie can’t name a top band or track, her playlists tend towards an ’80s theme (thus corresponding to the ambitious aesthetic of his best photoshoots: very Joan Collins circa Dynasty!).

It was a real pleasure talking to Lucie Helene and I confess that yes, I enjoyed exploring the softer mainstream side of OnlyFans (FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY!).

Usual caveats about the suitability of age and creditworthiness etc., such as for gambling, but feel free to see Lucie’s work here.

Thanks Lucie! Best wishes with all your future work and content. Welcome to tea in London, anytime. Wonderful woman!
