A Las Vegas woman arrested last month in a hit and run that injured two pedestrians was suspected of driving under the influence of an unknown narcotic and lied to officers about her identity because she was in probation, according to a Metro Police report.

Ashleigh Niclo Bacon, 33, was arrested on August 14 and held in the Clark County Detention Center after being released from hospital for an injury sustained in the collision – when she jumped over the barbed wire fence of a strip club near the site. of the accident. She was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, reckless driving, parole violation and not stopping in an accident, among others, according to the arrest report.

A male pedestrian, not identified in the report, lost his left arm as a result of the collision, and an unidentified pedestrian suffered a fractured left arm. The two were taken to the university medical center for treatment, according to the report.

Officers arrived at the intersection of Valley View Boulevard and Russell Road at 4:40 p.m. on August 14 at a scene where pedestrians were struck in the southeast corner of the intersection. The driver – later identified as Bacon – fled, according to the report.

Police arrested Bacon near the Crazy Horse strip club, east of the crash scene, and while speaking with officers, produced a false name, according to the report. Bacon continued to use a false name during the interaction, police said. She then allegedly made up a story about how she injured her leg, police said.

After an officer told Bacon to stop lying, she revealed her real name and admitted to driving the vehicle in the collision, according to the report. She said she initially gave the name of an old friend because she was afraid of violating parole.

Bacon said she struck pedestrians as she drove south on Valley View, attempting to turn east on Russell, police said. The report says she was driving at high speed and also struck a light pole after hitting pedestrians.

Bacon was taken to the hospital to treat the cut in her leg. There, she refused a police blood test to determine if she was under the influence, but failed further field sobriety tests, police said.

She was placed under arrest after being released from UMC, the statement said. She is still being held at the CCDC, according to online records. Bacon has a preliminary hearing scheduled for October, according to court records.
